Grateful for Life

Good morning everyone! Happy October! I’ve been thinking a lot about how lucky I am to be healthy. Perfect health, maybe not, but I am healthy. I struggle with anxiety and depression. And to deal with these I eat, so my weight has been up and down for years. Yesterday I took some time to remember how healthy and happy I was when I was a kid. No worries, no cares, but I was so full of energy. Even in my teen years, although i was still dealing with some struggles, I was pretty energetic and carefree. I do know where my anxiety started and I do know when my depression kicked in. How do i defeat these?

I do a lot haha…Yoga, meditating, journaling. Sometimes I just have to be alone. But a big thing that I just started doing was being grateful for everything that keeps me healthy. Grateful for every body part that works; eyes, hands, legs,etc. Being grateful for everything I have in my life. And a big thing is going back to those areas of my life that lead me to my depression and anxiety and really forgiving and being grateful for having the opportunity to experience the love that was surrounding me.

What I do may not work for everyone, but what I am learning is gratitude can really help heal so much. It can heal your heart, it can help heal any ailments you have. Be grateful for everything in your life. Be grateful for every breath you take, every person who comes into your life. Choose gratitude over negative beliefs and watch how much your life can change.
